The Dallas Latino Cultural Center (LCC) has a free showing tonight  at  8 PM of  the film: Niger '66: A Peace Corps Diary.  The documentary movie will follow tonight's opening of the Peace Corps Photo Exhibit at 6:30 PM.

This documentary is a homage to the young men and women who as volunteers in the Peace Corps went to Niger in 1966. In present-day interviews, they reflect upon the work they did and how living in Africa for two years changed their lives. In 2008, five of the volunteers returned to Niger to witness how their work influenced the people there. The film was directed by Judy Irola.

If you cannot make tonight's documentary, there will be two free encore presentations at the LCC on:

      • Saturday, March 12, 2011 @ 3:00 PM
      • Thursday, April 21, 2011 @ 7:00 PM

Latino Cultural Center is locate just east of US 75 near Downtown Dallas at 2600 Live Oak Street.

Again, both of tonight's events are free and open to the public.
