897NPCA job posting
- Dec 5, 2008Message received from National Peace Corps Association.
If you subscribe to our e-newsletter (and I hope you do!) you’ll see that with the help of the the Task Force we have developed position description for the person who will be largely responsible for managing the development of our new peacecorpsconnect.org site—and we’re soliciting resumes. The job announcement is on our website ( http://www.rpcv.org/pages/sitepage.cfm?id=596), as well as posted to Idealist.org (http://www.idealist.org/if/i/en/av/Job/320241-159). Please take a look and spread it far and wide! It’s going to be a great job for a Web-savvy RPCV.
You can find some more information about the PeaceCorpsConnect initiative and see who’s on the Task Force at http://www.rpcv.org/pages/sitepage.cfm?id=1919 (I’ll be updating it shortly with a link to the job description.). You can also see the powerpoint presentations on the virtual community and Social Network that were made at the October Group Leaders Forum at http://www.rpcv.org/pages/sitepage.cfm?id=1562 .
We have secured a vendor to design the site and have set a deadline for a January 20th launch. The URL will be www.peacecorpsconnect.org, which right now is in use as a redirect to our current site. When the site launches, the plan is for the www.rpcv.org URL to redirect to the new PeaceCorpsConnect site.
