      50th Anniversary of the Peace Corps:
      A Stanford Celebration
      Friday and Saturday, April 15 and 16, 2011

      Join alumni, faculty, staff, students, and community friends for this free
      two-day campus event to celebrate Peace Corps service, inspire current students,
      and discuss how best to prepare the next generation for international service.


      Friday, April 15

      * 12:00 to 1:00 pm: Peace Corps information session at the Career Development
      Center
      40 Return Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) will share their international
      experiences with current students.



      * 5:30 to 7:00 pm: Opening Reception at Bechtel Conference Center
      Featuring Carrie Hessler-Radelet, Peace Corps Deputy Director, and current Peace
      Corps volunteers in Africa and China via videoconference

      Saturday, April 16
      * 9:00 am to 2:00 pm:Symposium on International Service at Bechtel Conference
      Center
      * The day will also feature a performance by Talisman a cappella, a
      commemorative mosaic, and oral histories.

      More detailed information and directions will be sent to registrants during the
      first week of April.
