      Come relax on at our 2nd 2010 Dinner Talk with Guest Speaker, Santa Clara
      University Professor Edward Schaefer whose brother is an RPCV and has given
      more than six 1 hour-long talks on Malawi!

      Topic: HIV/AIDS in Malawi

      Abstact: In this talk, Professor Schaefer will be discussing various issues
      surrounding HIV/AIDS in Malawi including: cultural factors, social class
      variations, the role of women, the effect on the economy, healthcare,
      prevention and education.

      *Tuesday, 5/4, "Community Day" fundraiser*

      Dine, shop and play at participating local businesses in San Jose, Saratoga,
      Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Mountain View throughout the day of May 4th. A portion
      of all sales will be donated to benefit 18,000 children in our community!

      This May 4th Community Day is organized by a team of K-8 Cupertino school
      parents who aim to save and to reinstate 115 K-8 teachers' pink-slipped

      ~$1.5m raised already! An additional $1.5m still needed.

      *Sunday, 5/16, 1:30 PM* � *Book Signing* with two local authors who
      wrote "*Face
      to Face: Children of the AIDS Crisis in Africa*." The book blends color
      photography and narrative to offer an extraordinarily moving portrayal of
      life in Africa in the shadow of AIDS. The authors, Ruthann Richter and Karen
      Ande, will be sharing their experiences visiting Africa and writing the
