Although NorCal PCA is not sponsoring "The Future Of Rwanda and the Role of Higher Education" at the Commonwealth Club on March 19th, the program should be of interest to many of you.
Orphans of Rwanda Executive Director, Michael Brotchner, will share the incredible strides Rwanda has made since the nation was torn apart, and discuss the role of higher education
The tiny country of Rwanda has made enormous strides since it was torn apart by unspeakable violence 15 years ago. Brotchner will discuss the progress that Rwanda has made in economic and social reconciliation since the 1994 genocide and how the nation has transformed itself into one of Africa's most promising countries. He will also discuss the role of Rwanda's universities in promoting the country's transition from an agriculture-based economy to a knowledge-based economy.
