This is an entry-level opportunity (requires Bachelors degree plus 2yrs experience) for someone interested in corporate social responsibility and assuring that factory conditions are fair to workers. While factory audits occur all over the world, the SF office is the depository of information coming from the factories and then going out to the clients (leading retailers and manufacturers). Provide timely and accurate assessment results and information to internal and external clients that meet or exceed their expectations. Provide support to the San Francisco office to achieve and maintain excellence in client services/customer relations. This position reports to the Manager, Social Accountability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Support efforts to manage global relationships between Bureau Veritas Operating Offices and Bureau Veritas Clients;
§ Provide technical support to clients by answering questions about audit report findings, and interacting with global auditing team to obtain answers when unable to do so alone;
§ Ensure day-to-day client requests, problems, issues and complaints are handled efficiently and professionally;
§ Perform final review of Social Accountability and Factory Assessment audit reports for quality and consistency and ensure timely delivery to assigned clients;
§ Manage and track scheduling of audits including providing up to date scheduling information to clients, clarifying missing factory/vendor information with clients, and following up with operating offices to ensure timely delivery of audit reports.
§ Support the Manager, Program Managers and BV CPS Business Development staff with miscellaneous functions relating to follow-up on client requests;
§ Offer problem resolution for any client issues identified with the aim of enhancing client satisfaction and improving client relations;
§ Communicate / escalate significant client issues to Manager for resolution;
§ Coordinate execution of assessment services in the Americas
§ Provide regular and ad-hoc audit status reports to clients as required
Technical and Analysis
§ Research and compile labor law updates to disseminate to operating offices and auditors
§ Assist in creating training tools for auditor trainings in the Americas as needed;
§ Support US auditors with legal/standard information as needed;
§ Maintain Monthly Quality Report for report quality issues; provide feedback to operations personnel to ensure implementation of corrective action steps and additional training;
§ Assist in surveying and monitoring client needs and service satisfaction;
§ Conduct administrative contract review to verify client requirements are met;
§ Draft client operating procedures and field instructions for assigned clients
Sales and Marketing
§ Support sales & marketing efforts by coordinating, issuing, and monitoring quotations to prospects and new clients; monitor / report client sales volume and submission data to Manager in order to track sales targets;
§ Assist Manager in responding to requests for proposals as needed;
§ Assist Manager in creating client proposals and client presentations.
§ Adhere to the requirements of the BV-CPS Quality System and assist with the implementation and maintenance of the department quality system;
§ Provide feedback to the department manager regarding departmental systems, processes and recommendations for improvements.
§ Screen and process various issues, calls and inquiries and forward to appropriate parties;
§ Generate invoices as required and support invoicing and collections processes;
§ Participate in department meetings;
§ Assist with other department projects and issues as deemed necessary by management.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
§ Knowledge of labor laws, corporate code of conduct programs and human rights issues as they pertain to global labor practices, specifically in the manufacturing environment;
§ Knowledge of offshore production and sourcing a plus;
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
§ Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment;
§ Ability to manage change and demonstrate proactive problem solving skills;
§ Domestic and possibly some international travel may be required;
§ Ability to grasp and retain internal systems;
§ Must be organized and have excellent time management skills;
§ Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills and willingness to use those skills to exceed expected job requirements;
§ Ability to effectively communicate and foster relationships with clients;
§ Ability to identify client needs, resolve issues, and provide appropriate BV response
§ Strong interpersonal skills - ability to effectively interact with operating offices, sales and marketing, and client support teams;
§ Strong individual and team work ethic
§ Attention to detail
§ Second Language is a plus;
Four year degree with 2 years of client service experience that demonstrates aptitude in the skills and requirements detailed above.
