Preparing students to be interculturally effective leaders,
professionals, and citizens committed to responsible global
      citizenship.

Responding to the most devastating natural disaster in our lifetime,
SIT is collaborating with Sarvodaya, one of the world's most
respected development organizations in Sri Lanka, to provide a
twelve month M.A. in Sustainable Development. This intensive program
will combine the unique curriculum from SIT with a profound
practicum experience in Sri Lanka in a twelve month service-learning
      format.

Pending a minimum of 15 students, this program will run from January
2006 to December 2006 and it is important that participants
understand the demanding requirements of a full time on-site program
such as this. The prospective students that will benefit and
contribute most to this program are:
      • Working professionals in early to mid-career
      • Currently in Development, Government, Non-profit or
      Humanitarian
      Fields
      • Those with an excellent sense of self and sensitivity to
      working
      in an intercultural context
      • Capable of living and working in difficult conditions
