REMINDER: Asia's Vanishing Species

On Monday, May 19th, Jill Robinson, Animals Asia Foundation (AAF) founder, will be discussing her work saving China's endangered Moon Bears, which are farmed for their bile that is used in traditional Chinese medicine. Her work has spread to other abused and endangered species. Hear how the AAF campaign is charting the course for animal welfare in other Asian countries, with a look at the cultural sensitivities that are key to the success of this work. A 47-minute documentary on Moon Bears that was made for Animal Planet will be shown throughout the reception beginning at 5:10 p.m.

Time: 5:10 p.m. reception/film, 6 p.m. program
Cost: Free for Commonwealth Club members, $15 for non-members; $8 for AAF members
