Continuing the important focus on leadership development,

the NON-PROFIT STAFF DEVELOPMENT COALITION (NPSDC)  www.learningconnections.org/coalition  is presenting  its popular  “Building Leadership Skills” series again.

The first workshop in the 2013 series (is being brought back by popular demand)

      “DEVELOPING HIGH PERFORMING TEAMS”

      TRAINER: MAUREEN MORIARTY

      Wednesday January 30, 9am-4:00pm The 2100 Building, 24th Ave.S., Seattle WA 98144

(Please scroll down to access workshop details and register online)

Is your team really a team?

The truth is most workplace teams fail the test despite the fact that the number one concern for most leaders in today’s organizations is improving teamwork.  Most organizations are under great pressure to do more with less—teams are critical for success.  Though true high performing teams are rare—they are a powerful advantage.  On the flip side, the cost to organizations for team dysfunction is astronomical.  Knowing how to lead a high performing team is vital to effective leadership and the success of any organization.  The good news—much of what you need to know will be covered in this important workshop.

This interactive training provides participants an opportunity to evaluate their team for the critical elements of team success—trust, productive conflict, commitment, accountability and attention to results while learning new techniques and strategies to improve these areas. Through discussion and activities, participants will gain new understanding of normal team development and how to get their people ‘rowing in the same direction’ to achieve incredible results.

“This workshop was ‘right on” !   It was practical and applicable to what I do --- had a lot of substance to it”.       (past participant)

“ I will use the 4 stages of normal team development to help analyze where my different teams are in the stages and use the activities appropriate to each team’s progress …. Will put SMART goals to work in staff team meetings and strategic planning …”     (past participant)
