    The Spring conference of the Oklahoma Beekeeper Association will be Saturday, February 26 at the Stephens county fairgrounds, in Duncan, from 8-4:30.

      The Spring conference of the Oklahoma Beekeeper Association will be Saturday, February 26 at the Stephens county fairgrounds, in Duncan, from 8-4:30. Registration will be from 8-9 am with the program beginning at 9:00 am. The fairgrounds is located at 2002 S. 13th Street, Duncan, OK 73533. The SWOBA beekeepers will have their regular meeting Friday night February 25 at 7:00 at the Fairgrounds and OSBA members are invited to attend.

      The Host club, SWOBA has done a great job in helping to line up speakers and publicizing the conference.

      Confirmed speakers are:

      Don Molnar - Department of Agriculture

      Chuddy Smith - Gizmos and Gadgets

      Keith Amason - floral sources for bees in Oklahoma

      Bennie Watson - President of the Red River Beekeeper Club - Africanized Bees

      Gary Grose - making nucs

      Panel of experienced beekeepers to answer questions from the group

      Panel discussion regarding the Legislation affecting the standard of honey that has been introduced - Senate Bill 58.

      Potluck lunch with OSBA providing the meat

      Auction and Door Prizes

      Our vendor will be MannLake, represented by their Oklahoma representative, George Richtmeyer of George's Apiary in Noble.
      Orders for bee equipment from MannLake should be placed with George Richtmeyer at 405-872-8385 no later than Saturday, February 19, to ensure delivery to the Conference
