- Torri Wightman Safe Driving Fund Benefit
On Sunday,March 9,2008, There will be a special benefit
to establish a Safe Driving Fund in memory of Torri
Victoria "Torri ' Wightman ,was a 16 year old,who was
lost in a automobile crash on May 16,2006,on the South
She and her family,had many ties to friends on the North
Shore as well
The loss prompted, the Wightman family, to establish the
fund,to teach young people,safer driving techniques.
The event,features notable musicians from the North and
South Shores,and will be held inside the Hawthorne Hotel
Ballroom,in Salem Mass.,from 12-8 p.m.on Sunday March 9.
Participants of the event ,will perform on,and discuss
the benefit between 10-12 a.m. on WMWM 91.7 F.M. the
morning of the event on the "Trax of the Town" show,with
host Douglas Mascott
There will be a silent auction ,for a "Carlo Robelli
C-9035 EQ" nylon string guitar,which was signed by 50
The organizers of this benefit,include Tracy
Rotkiewicz,and Lucy Wightman,(mother of Torri).
Cynthia Sisco (Music Liaison) and Morgan Huke(Production
All proceeds from this event will be donated to:
The Torri Wightman Safe Driving Fund,in Torri's
memory,by the Wightman Family.
Donations requested for the concert will be $ 15.00.
