NY Special Event: Tango Film Screening & Milonga
A WEEK TO TAKE A LEAP IN YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF TANGO
With MARIA OLIVERA & GUSTAVO BENZECRY SABÁ, directly from Buenos Aires
Hello NY Tango Lovers!
As you all probably know by now, María Olivera and Gustavo Benzecry Sabá are back in New York this week, and as they usually do, they’ve prepared a whole set of amazing activities for us to improve our dance skills, but also to expand the limits of our understanding of the tango culture and its roots.
These two are not only fantastic dancers and thoughtful, devoted and methodical teachers, but they are also ambassadors of the cultural production of tango. As you may remember, Gustavo is the author of three Tango related books: “The New Glossary of Tango Dance” (available for purchasing during their visit to NY), “Embracing Tango – Techniques and metaphors between Tango and Life” (available on Amazon.com), and “Tango FAQs” (also available on Amazon.com), they’ve released two Instructional DVD’s (“Techniques for followers”, and “Techniques for Tango Leaders”) that become a “must have” for any tango afficionate, and in the last few years they both have produced a Documentary Movie that they will be screening for us.
So don’t miss this unique chance to study more than just the dance and its techniques, take the leap and plunge in a tango experience beyond your imagination!
