Strictly Tango NYC's Winter Tango Retreat

Start the New Year off right with an indulgent weekend of Tango, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Strictly Tango NYC's Winter Tango Retreat will be the perfect little getaway for those who love to learn new tricks, make new friends, explore new places, and most of all Tango the night or day away with a welcoming community of tango dancers and students who love to do the same.
The events will commence at 6:30pm on Saturday, Jan. 21st at Camp Tango in Cold Spring, NY and will end at 3:30pm on Sunday Jan. 22nd. There are several price options for those who want to build their perfect tango weekend. The full Winter Tango Retreat Schedule is as follows:
5:00p Van Transportation Departs Manhattan
6:30p Transportation arrives at `Camp Tango'
7:00p Dinner provided
8:30p Milonga starts with lesson: "Tango Salon Embellishments" by Matt Grubler
9:30p Open dancing begins. Milonga will run until approx. 12am (possibly later!)
Some snacks will be provided but contributions are appreciated. BYOB
8:00a (ongoing) Breakfast Make your own omelets
8:30a Morning Hike (Optional. Will last about 1.5-2 hours)
Dress appropriately for the hike. It will be cold and there may be snow/ice on the ground. Signed injury release form will be required.
11:30a Tango Workshop:
"Milonga in Shadow position" by Sergio Segura & Assistants
or "Tango for Absolute Beginners" by Strictly Tango NYC Assistants
Both workshops will be taught simultaneously. Attendants may choose to participate in either one.

All Events and Food WITHOUT sleeping at Camp Tango - $90 (transportation not included)
Overnight Weekend package - $130 (includes van transportation, all events, and meals)
Sleeping arrangements are "dorm style," meaning one large room with individual beds.
Attendees need to bring their own sheets and blankets.
There are co-ed bathrooms with showers but attendees must bring their own towel.
There will be two lodges: One for eating and dancing and going to bed late, the other for those who want to go to bed earlier.
