Think about what you love most about living in the Bay Area.

Pick what's most important to you as the region grows now.

Now think about the fact that by 2035 there will be an estimated 900,000 new households and 1.2 million new jobs.

That’s a lot of growth!  Where will all these new residents live and how will they get around?  The region needs your help in deciding this.

Go to YouChooseBayArea now and use a cool new interactive tool to experiment with different choices in transportation, housing, and land use. See how your choices change the region’s emissions, cost of living, open space, traffic, and more – plus be sure your choice is counted.

Then help influence the critical decisions our county and regional leaders are making about the Bay Area’s future in two ways:

      1. Attend YouChoose Public Forums
YouChoose Bay Area is part of an initiative by TransForm with lead partners Silicon Valley Community Foundation and Greenbelt Alliance, along with KQED and the urban planning firm Calthorpe Associates, to engage Bay Area residents in determining where and how the region builds.

Attend an upcoming forum in Mountain View, San Mateo, Concord, Santa Rosa, or Berkeley.

      2. Suggest Transportation Projects for Your County
TransForm is working with partners around the region to shape the Bay Area’s latest transportation funding plan so it yields big wins for public transportation, walking, biking, affordable housing, and smart growth. Every county plays an important role as they propose most of the projects and programs included in the plan.

Attend one of the upcoming community workshops in your county to weigh in.

The choices we make today will determine the future for generations to come.

Thanks for your help in making sure the Bay Area chooses wisely!
