"Visions of sugar plums float in their heads"
- Please find attached the application form for a conference to be held by Landor Conferences (the sister company to Landor Publishing, best known for the fortnightly Local Transport Today) in London on 5 February. The theme is the need to treat the way that cars are specified as an instrument of transport policy. Doing so makes it possible to achieve environmental and safety goals that could not be achieved otherwise. The aim is to get transport planners, the car industry, legislators/regulators and pressure groups together.I would not claim that attending the conference would be worth burning up huge quantities of carbon on inter-continental flights, but anyone who happens to be in or around London at that time might find it worthwhile. As you will see from the last page of the form, there are several ways to book, but on line to the address given is probably easiest all round. Please feel free to pass on this information and the form to anyone who you think might be interested
