Travel Option Workshops Across Canada:
A Clean Air Initiative to Encourage Travel Behaviour Change
BC Transit is seeking partners in 10 communities across Canada to host a Travel Options Workshop with local employers.
The objective of this program is to encourage and assist local employers to develop and implement a trip reduction strategy for their organization. A workshop approach is used to help employers and employees in each community discover how they can enjoy direct personal and organizational benefits of trip reduction planning while contributing to improved air quality. The workshop is open to public, private and not-for-profit employers.
The training materials to be used in this workshop are being implemented on a website. The website will serve as both a training resource and as an ongoing networking and information resource for workshop participants.
The workshops are planned for Spring 2000. Partners would be responsible for arranging meeting space, appropriate refreshments and selecting local participants (10 to 25). BC Transit will supply all necessary materials and deliver the training workshops.
