      Mayor Gregor Robertson and Chief Dr. Robert Joseph to launch Year of
      Reconciliation at Aboriginal Summit

      Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson and Chief Dr. Robert
      Joseph, Ambassador for Reconciliation Canada, will launch Vancouver's Year
      of Reconciliation tomorrow at the City of Vancouver's Aboriginal
      Reconciliation Summit at the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue.

      Mayor Robertson and Chief Joseph will announce upcoming plans to celebrate
      the Year of Reconciliation in Vancouver, including the Walk for
      Reconciliation in downtown Vancouver on September 22, 2013.

      The Mayor and Chief Joseph will be available to answer questions from the
      media before the Summit begins.

      When: Thursday, June 20, 2013
      9:40 am

      Where: Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue
      ICBC Concourse Hall (downstairs)
      580 West Hastings Street (at Seymour)


      About the Year of Reconciliation Aboriginal Summit:

      Following a traditional Nisga'a drum drill and spoken word performance by
      Jerilynn Webster, the Summit program will include contributions from the
      Squamish, Musqueam and Tsleil Waututh Nations, Mayor Gregor Robertson,
      Vancouver City Councillor Andrea Reimer, Vancouver City Manager Penny
      Ballem, BC Assembly of First Nations Regional Chief Jody Raybould-Wilson,
      Union of BC Indian Chiefs President Stewart Phillip, First Nations Summit
      Grand Executive Member Cheryl Casimer, and Metro Vancouver Aboriginal
      Executive Council representative Christine Martin. The Summit event will run
      from 10 am to 3 pm.
