Please find attached an invitation to a public event entitled, ``Is the Prosperity Mine a Human Rights Issue?``
Amnesty International`s Canadian Campaigner on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, Craig Benjamin, will be speaking about environmental and indigenous rights as human rights and the relationship to the proposed Prosperity Mine project. A Tsilhqot`in representative will also briefly speak about the ``new`` proposal and what it looks like and why the Nation remains opposed to the project.
When: Tuesday, November 8th, 7-9pm
Where: Gibraltar Room, Williams Lake, B.C.
Light refreshments will be provided. Also, a note for community members: Craig will be speaking in Tl`etinqox-t`in during the same day, 12-3PM (with lunch at 12). Community members are very welcome.
