      Company signs deal for NWT pipeline

      YELLOWKNIFE, N.W.T. - Aboriginal leaders from Norman Wells, Tulita, Fort
      Good Hope and Alberta signed an agreement last week with the Arctic
      Resources Company to build a 100% aboriginal-owned northern gas

      They announced the signing of a framework memorandum in a news release

      The project would create a natural gas pipeline extending from Prudhoe
      Bay, Alaska, under the Beaufort Sea and down the Mackenzie Valley to
      Edmonton, Alberta. Arctic Resources is a American-owned company based in

      The company has proposed that it manage the project under a long-term
      administration contact.

      There will be series of negotiations over the next two months between
      the company and the aboriginal groups that signed the Agreement.

      Representatives of the Deh Cho First Nations did not sign the agreement,
      but attended the meetings as observers.

      Arctic Resources hopes to offer a similar deal to Aboriginal groups in
