      Greetings and Namaste to all! 

      Below you will find class schedule updates, an important  price drop announcement, and info on upcoming special events at Namaste Yoga. Thank you for being part of our yoga community, and we hope to see you soon at the studio!



      Julia DeHoff’s Thursday evening Iyengar class will now meet 6:45 - 8:15 p.m. in the Shanti room.

      Sekiva’s Tuesday night Power Flow class will be ending at the end of March. Last class is March 25th.

      Charlene offers a Posture Clinic—an opportunity for students to explore 3 Viniyoga postures in depth--on the last Tuesday of each month in her regular class (9:30-11 a.m.).  Upcoming dates: 3/25, 4/22, and 5/27.  Charlene offers Restorative Yoga—a great way to deeply relax and heal for any level of yoga student--on the last Wednesday (5:30-7 p.m.) and Thursday (9:30-11 a.m.) of each month, in her regular classes.  Upcoming dates: March 26 & 27, April 23 & 24, and May 28 & 29.

      PRICE DROP--NEW LOWER PRICE!  In response to your requests, we are now offering monthly unlimited classes for the new lower price of $99.  With the unlimited pass, you can start anytime, and for one month from date of purchase, you can attend all the classes you want. Just think how good you'll feel with a month of --daily? 3x/wk?-- yoga classes! (Sorry, this pass can’t be shared, transferred, or extended.)


      April 12, 2014  11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.  Chair Yoga with Marney (through New Leaf Market) FREE! 

      Chair Yoga is a wonderful way to experience the benefits of yoga without getting up and down from the floor. This class will include stretching and yoga postures done sitting in a chair and standing using the chair for balance, as well as breathing and relaxation techniques. Chair yoga is ideal for those with limited mobility or stamina, moderate physical limitations, or transitioning from illness/ injury. Complicated maneuvers are not part of this class, but the enjoyment and benefits of yoga certainly are. Marney Richards is a certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor, Physical Therapist Assistant and Licensed Massage Therapist and teaches yoga at Namaste.  FREE! You can register through New Leaf online or by contacting Marney directly: (850) 284-3146  or marneyrichards370@...You can also just show up for the class, but please register if possible so we know how many are coming.

      April 19–20, 2014 Vedic Thai Yoga Massage with Eric Kelley of the Vedic Conservatory

      Saturday: 11–7, Sunday: 12–8. The Vedic Conservatory holds the intention of empowering people with this potent form of medicine by making the teachings available to all skill levels to be shared with family, friends, and clients. This course is certified by NCBTMB to provide 16 CEU for LMTs and approved by the Thai Healing Alliance. This course teaches a basic 1.5-hour sequence of Thai-Yoga Bodywork Techniques, and is appropriate for both professionals and interested others. Touch, healing intention and the willingness to give and receive are the only prerequisites for practicing this noble folk art. This form of massage is done fully clothed, on a mat on the floor.

      Eric is a native of Tallahassee and is excited to be coming home to share his passion for this beautiful art. He has lived and studied in Thailand for many years as well as studying here in Florida with the Vedic Conservatory for the last 10 years.       5/9 through 5/11/14 Fully Alive Yoga Beach Retreat with Ellen

      Come join us for this special event, Friday night through Sunday noon. This retreat will be a blend of relaxing and having fun while practicing lots of yoga, pranayama, and mediation. Enjoy the spectacular beaches of St. George Island, paradise practically in our own back yards. All you need is a desire to do more yoga and learn more deeply about the practices. You will be skillfully guided by Ellen, an experienced teacher/leader, while enjoying the support and companionship of a wonderful community of fellow travelers. Breathe, relax, renew, swim, and  enjoy the pleasures of beach life and the deepening of your practice, and still be back home at the end of the weekend.
