Subject: [N_O_A] 2 errors in Ms. Hollowell's Research, and a request to proofread a ged file
      (1) Page 40: she lists the children of Katherine Elise Odom: Gary Paul Keefer as having been born April 1, 1953, and his brother James Harold Keefer as having been born March 14, 1953 - they can't have been born six weeks apart.
Kinda hard on MOM that way, huh?
Question:  Did they adopt a nephew?
Question:  I believe that it is probably a simple typo, too.   Maybe should be 1954 or 1955.  Maybe someone can do a search on one of the internet sites and find something for us.

      (2) Page 04: she lists one of the children of William Odeon III and Patience Warrick as being Patience Butt.  A reading of the transcript of the will of William Odeon III and of the hand-written copy, shows, I believe, that this is wrong.  It says "...unto my Daughter Patience But five pounds of cash of this currency in full and no more."  I believe the word "But" is NOT her last name, but means "only" -- "unto my Daughter Patience [only] five pounds of cash...and no more."
I tend to disagree with Carrie's assessment of this.  WHY?
      1.  It is clearly WRITTEN   "But" (with 1 t), while it is TYPED  "Butt" (with 2 t).  Mrs. Hollowell must have inadvertently "corrected" the handwritten will to the proper spelling of the last MARRIED name of daughter Patience, as she knew it to be.
      2.  That language ("but" meaning "only", as interpreted by Carrie) is NOT used throughout the rest of the will, in the following items for other children.
      3.  On p 13, there is mention of the BUTT surname. Robert Butt and Elizabeth his wife assign property to Richard Odeon (son of Wm I).
Do we have other thoughts on this????
