      Dear friends,
Sorry about the lack of posts recently, I have not been getting sent
any new events. Here is about at least one event in Queens.
nternationally-acclaimed Israeli singer and musical performer Yoel
Sharabi will present an evening of Israeli and Mizrachi music on
Tuesday, June 17th, starting at 7PM, in Cunningham Park in Fresh
      Meadows, Queens.

This free two-hour concert will feature Yoel Sharabi, accompanied by
his orchestra, singing a large selection of Modern Israeli, classic
      Yemenite, and popular Chassidic melodies.

As an added concert bonus, and in tribute to Israel's 60th birthday,
concert-goers will be treated to a special rendition by Yoel Sharabi
of six of the most popular Israeli songs ever, one chosen by Sharabi
from each of the last six decades since the founding of the State of
      Israel.

There will be ample seating on the lawn (bring yours chairs and
blankets) and parking is available. The park is also accessible via
public transportation. Concert location: Cunningham Park, Union
Turnpike and 196th St, Fresh Meadows, Queens. Via public transport,
take E or F train to Union Tpke, Q46 bus to 195th St.

The concert is sponsored by Friends of Cunningham Park, Northeast
Queens Jewish Community Council, Hadassah, UJA Federation of NY,
Jewish Community Relations Council, Metropolitan Council on Jewish
Poverty, and City of NY Parks & Recreation.
