------- JEWISH MUSIC ALBUM OF THE WEEK:
The third CD from the trio Rashanim is titled appropriately
enough "Shalosh." Founder and bandleader Jon Madof builds on his
earlier success in jazzing up a traditional Jewish sound and totally
rocking out, true to the band name. This all-instrumental album
contains an innovative rendition of Carlebach's Cracow Niggun, along
with some great original material, exploring exotic rhythms backing
Madof's excellent guitar, from the gentle "Jerusalem" to the hard
rock "Ein Gedi" and "Jacob and Esau." Check out Rashanim in concert
on Nov 30, and see http://jonmadof.com

      Have a great Shabbos!
