Group Description

A club for breeders and enthusiasts of rare and heritage rabbit breeds; both recognized and non-recognized breeds by the A.R.B.A. NWRHRBC holds an A.R.B.A. Charter.

The Northwest Rare & Heritage Rabbit Breeders' Club Mission is to protect the endangered rabbit breeds by increasing awareness through promoting these breeds in order to increase populations and improving breed quality.

NWRHRBC is also committed to maintaining the heritage use of the meat and fiber rabbit breeds. Our goal is to revive and preserve the arts, skills, crafts and knowledge historically associated with these rare animals. A knowledge set and skills that are becoming as endangered as the rabbits themselves.

We work to accomplish our mission through education, presence at rabbit shows and livestock fairs, liaisons with 4-H and other breed clubs, demonstrations, and exhibitions. The NWRHRBC is open to people living anywhere in, or outside, the United States, however our primary events are held in the Northwest region (A.R.B.A. District 1).

*** The NWRHRBC Group is a family-friendly place to enjoy the camaraderie of other rare and heritage rabbit breed enthusiasts! Help keep it that way by being kind and courteous, open-minded as to the differences in husbandry methods and opinions, clean language, and free from political ranting. We welcome news of your show results!!! ***
