      Based on photos, (several available at www.pacificng.com) it appears that LTR&T Co is using a
      paint style similar to SP’s. Since two of the engines were leased from SP, and they connected
      with them at Truckee they would have been familiar with the style.

      If so, Black engine; domes, frame, cylinders, drivers, tender and frame all black, with a Russia
      iron boiler jacket, and again, from photos, likely brass boiler bands and polished brass cylinder
      covers, and in some photos it looks like they have retained the brass nosing on the running
      boards.

      The smoke box is either graphite or aluminum (probably a lighter toned graphite)

      Lettering in white… large number on Tender, number on sand dome, “L. T. Ry. & T. Co.” on cab.
      It is possible that the top of the tender tank, and top of running boards are freight car color
      The driving rods and cross heads look to be polished steel.
