Just trying to help get the word out. Here's the details:
      -----------
The inaugural Rural Industrial Modelers Congress takes placeSaturday,
September 28, at the West Valley Community Campus, 266 SE WashingtonSt.,
Willamina, Oregon, 97396. Doors open at 9am and we wrap up around 6 pm
forthe one-day event. The admittance fee is $20 for the entire day of
      activities.

The event is hosted by Lon Wall and Jeff Johnston, the samepeople who
bring you the annual Pacific Model Loggers Congress (PMLC) at theCamp 18
Restaurant and Logging Museum in Elsie, Oregon. For more on that
      event,see www.pacificmodelloggerscongress.com.

Unlike the PMLC, which is strictly based around loggingtheme modeling
and activities, the new event also includes other industrialmodeling
themes. These include agriculture and mineral or mining subjects of
arailroad nature or supported by the railroad, such as an industry, or
equipmentto support that business, such as log trucks or farm
      implements.

The hosts stress that the model contest is a highlyimportant aspect of
the Willamina event. Although the category specifics arebeing worked
out, the rules for entry will generally follow those for theLoggers’
Congress as posted on the event website listed above. Regardless
ofwhether you bring a grain elevator, coal mine, a brick kiln and
factory, stringof loaded iron ore hoppers, steam donkey or custom built
combine and thresher,we’ll have a category for you.

In addition to the model contest the event will include historyor
modeling clinics plus a full range of vendors with items specific to
thelogging, agriculture or mining/mineral industry themes.

For spouses and significant others less interested inmodeling, the event
takes place just a few miles away from the Spirit MountainCasino --
http://spiritmountain.com/ -- so there’s something else fun to do in
      the area.
