CONGREGATION BNAI ISRAEL OFFERS COMEDY THROUGH BIBLE PLAYERS TO CELEBRATE HANUKKAH ON DECEMBER 2nd
      Congregation B’nai Israel welcomes its
membership and the public for a Hanukkah celebration with comedy,
crafts, food, and more on Sunday, December 2nd from 9:30am to 11:30am.
"The Bible Players",  thebibleplayers.com,  are a comedy
duo who will present the story of Hanukkah through improvisation and
sketch comedy. They present serious messages in humorous ways, and are
known for appealing to multiple ages. The Bible Players have received
rave reviews by the local and national press. The Forward, the
national Jewish daily newspaper, wrote that the Bible Players "make
Torah fun for everyone." Educators and camp directors are equally
impressed. Dr. Amy Skopp Cooper, director of Camp Ramah Day Camp in
Nyack, NY said, “Aaron and Andrew are masterful storytellers who keep
their audience captivated and engaged, and share their love of Torah
with enormous spirit!” Andrew Davies, one of the duo of the Bible
Players, has become an expert at playing to multiple ages. There truly is something for everyone”. Rabbi
Debra Orenstein and the Hebrew School educators will share in the
program, lead this program, geared towards children of ages 5-10, which
will also be engaging for siblings, parents, and grandparents. This
Hanukkah workshop is open to all and free of charge.
      Congregation B’nai Israel is an
innovative Conservative temple located at 53 Palisade Avenue in Emerson.
