Water is more precious than gold.
Water Is More Precious than Gold is an international campaign to raise awareness about the negative impact of industrial-scale metallic mining operations and to garner international support for Salvadoran civil society’s call to ban metal mining in the Central American country.
In May, an international conference will join together environmental activists, union leaders, members of human rights and faith groups, policy makers, donors, academics, journalists and others are invited on this fact-finding mission to build bridges of solidarity with the people of El Salvador and support their struggle to put an end to industrial-scale metallic mining. Convened by Oxfam, Institute for Policy Studies, SALVAIDE, Roundtable against Metallic Mining, and others.
