    MIDDLE EAST PEACE FORUM

Perspectives on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and a Just Peace

Brecksville Public Library, 9089 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, OH 44141

    June 3, 2010 6:30-8:45 P.M.

An American Palestinian and American Jew will share their real life
    experiences in the Holy Land

and their hopes for peace. Most of us do not imagine that a Palestinian and
a Jew might share so much common ground, that Israel and Palestine have a
common destiny in which peace depends on justice as a solution to the Middle
    East conflict.

Nahida Gordon, Ph.D. in biostatistics, professor and medical researcher at
    CWRU, will present

her childhood memories of her family's dispossession from Jaffe in Palestine
    (now Israel) in the

War of 1948. She has returned to Palestine as a Fullbright Scholar. She
    presently serves as a

member of the Presbyterian Church's national Middle East Study Committee.

Michael Greenberg, Ph.D. in molecular biology and a researcher at the
    Cleveland Clinic and

University Hospital, will describe his life experiences starting with his
Cleveland synagogue youth group and time on a kibbutz in Israel. Later, he
moved to Israel and served in the Israeli army before earning his Ph.D. at
Tel Aviv University. He lives with his family in Shaker Hts. but returns
often to visit extended family in Israel.

Sponsored by The Middle East Peace Forum, The Interfaith Council for Peace
in the Middle East, Al-Awda (the Right to Return Coalition, and The Greater
    Cleveland Immigrant Support Network
