Reality has nothing to do with adding
        something to myself or
        subtracting something from myself.

It is not personal plus transpersonal,
nor is it taking away something
        called "the personal".

It is not the ego plugging into something
powerful.  In fact, the motive to plug
into something powerful can be noticed
throughout human history (e.g., Nazi Germany,
Jonestown, Pol Pot, etc., etc.), and that
motive is not really separate from the motive to
do away with the self, but rather its polar and
        strongly related brother-motive.

Reality won't be gained through a motivated
attempt.  Neither the attempt to plug in,
trancend, be powerful, nor the motive to
disconnect, be somewhere else, be powerless.

A defense of ego and an attack against ego
are in this way the same:  either way,
ego is treated as a really existing
something or someone which can be added to,
or which needs to be taken away).

Nothing to be gained or lost:  Reality.

      GLORIA LEE CONTRIBUTION:

      AN INFANT IN YOUR ARMS

      The tide of my love
Has risen so high let me flood
      over

      You.

Close your eyes for a moment
      And maybe all your
      fears and fantasies

      Will end.

      If that happened
God would become an infant in your

      Arms

      And then you
      Would have to nurse all

      Creation!

what is seen from the top
      is seen from the bottom
      the view is fantastic, incredible

      living, laughing, loving,
      crying, weeping, dying
      it is all the same

heaven doesn't come to the distracted
hiding thier heads in the sand
      they never see the sunrise
yet, they too are one with me

how much to journey to the mountain top?
      ah, just leave everything behind
the climb is easy - easier than you can imagine
one step and you are there!

      come out of your shell
      of hardened beliefs
      smash it with your determination
      then smash your determination

you know you are not that simple character
      playing it's games
      nor are you something greater
      you simply are

      come free and fly
      see? you are everywhere!

Peace - at play in the fields of eternity - Michael

      Regarding "touch", a few remarks:

Without photons touching the eye, there is no sight
Without sonons touching the ear, there is no sound
Without food touching the tongue, there is no basic taste
Without air touching membranes, there wouldn't be smell
Would love be possible without touch?
      No communication without touch!

Hence "beyond" touch there is a mystery - one that the Buddha
knew but for instance Ramana didn't... :)
