Nonduality Highlights: Issue #4016, Friday, September 17, 2010

      Good mornin' darlin's...
      dg musing over morning coffee...
mindlessly setting up her daily to-do list,
bam! message for all of us:

You are a being of Light, old woman.
Why cover it with pursuits -
journeys to go somewhere, be somebody...
      decisions, ponderings, speculations...
finish this? start that? Call Harry? Comfort Sue?

      Uncork your gottado bottle and
      let them urges flow down
the dharma drain right back to the
Ocean of Being they came from.

Then sit back, relax, have a cup of
      OnlyNow Tea, and
let your blaze light up the
      daytime sky...

what better you got to do today?

      What are you looking for
      trampling till the soles
      of your feet
      are squashed flat?

There is no Buddha to be sought,
no Way to be carried out,
      no Dhamma to be gained.

      :) remember...

the farthest we can get, friends,
      sparing no efforts,
exerting our will to the utmost
      traveling persistently
      in whatever direction
      within or without
is all the way up to
      the all pervading, center-less self,
      reposing ever
      right here, right now.

It is not the present which is fleeting past us with sickening speed. The present moment is indeed eternal. It is our imperfect perception that creates the horizontal succession in time. Sequential duration is a consequence of the single-track verbalization of our split-mind, which does not grasp the outer world instan- taneously but interprets it perversely by extracting bits and pieces and calling them things and events.

People are so absorbed in chasing what they consider to be happiness that they do not have either the time or the inclination to stop and wonder if the kind of happiness they imagine is even worth having.

Listen, put trust in God, don't let your hands and feet tremble with fear:
your daily bread is more in love with you than you with it.
It is in love with you and holding back
only because it knows of your lack of self-denial.
If you had any self-denial, the daily bread
would throw itself upon you as lovers do.
What is this feverish trembling for fear of hunger?
In possession of trust in God one can live full-fed.
