Last night Genpo Roshi asked to speak to the voice of the Spiritually Enlightened One. As people began speaking from this voice it was obvious that also present was the shadow of the Spiritually Enlightened One, the Spiritually Un-Enlightened One(s) and the Spiritually not yet Enlightened One(s).
As we sat with the voices we felt the tension that arises out of the duality of considering ourselves Spiritually Enlightened and Spiritually un-Enlightened. We felt the tension of considering ourselves superior to some and inferior to others. We simultaneously held the joy and satisfaction of the experience of having achieved Spiritual Enlightenment and the shame and feelings of inadequacy from not having achieved it.
As we sat with this duality it became clear to me that every thought or idea that I attach myself to, no matter how lofty I may consider it to be, is just another way that I separate myself from my true nature and from others.
Later that evening as I made my way back to my dormitory I decided to call a friend. I have not known her very long and we have only briefly spoken about my interest in “spiritual” pursuits.
If God Is Everywhere And Always Far And Near,
How Could She Be Everywhere, But Not Right Here?
If God Is Not A Him And God Is Not A She,
Am I Doing Everything And God Is Always Me?
The Energy In The Mountains And Also In The Sea,
Isn't That Same Energy, Always In Me?
As I Drop All Excuses Of Things And How They Should Be,
I See I Make All The Choices, It Is Always Just Me.
It’s Not That I Am God, Rather, God Is My Reality.
If All Energy Is In This Moment And Not The Bye And Bye,
What Makes It So Mandatory, That I Age And Die?
The Life Force Is Always With Me And Knows That "I AM" Me,
Why Not Simply Listen And Love Everyone, And Just BE?
How Could I Die Anyway, When God And I Are One?
The Whole Universe Is Creating, For Me To Play In And Have Fun!
Yes, God And I Are One, God And I Are One.
Now I Know What Love Means, As It Teaches That, God And I Are ONE!
an IQ close to zero
which is a potent dose of SELF-intoxication,
which is non-duality's godless "god-intoxication" of Masts.

The Stopwatch called Meditation.
The word meditation is as meaningless as
the stopwatch it certainly needs
to get off from the Treadmill called Life.
And if the stopwatch and the Treadmill
do not make meditation very meaningless
then what makes meditation Really meaningless:
all the formalities, position, posture, rote, rhetoric and ritual meditation needs
to be as important as
and its stopwatch.

More and more Modern Meditation is all about a stopwatch we
need to get
out of the society's rat-race, just long enough, so that -- AFTER
MEDITATION -- we can then jump back into society's rat-race and run
faster and better than Buddha and even Jesus could have imagined.
Unless meditation is a process of being in the NOW --
unless meditation is a process of doing everything possible to rearrange
so that the time becomes more and more meaningless
so that Now can somehow Awaken...
unless Meditation is some sort of process of Awakening Now
it can ONLY serve the rat-race
that society and its religions certainly need
to run faster and faster after success, wisdom, wealth, fame, gods and
pleasure and its masochistic pain...
run faster and faster
till death Wakes Now.

Dhyan Dewyea sent me this link http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6111922724894802811&q=CENTURY+OF+THE+SELF
It's Part 3 of The Century of the Self, a BBC documentary from 2006. Freud's influence, Wilhelm Reich, the battle for power in the world of psychoanalysis. Sixties political protests and the energetic connection to Reich. The inner transformation movement, Esalen and EST and how they compare. How business learned how to market self-actualization by joining up with Maslow.
Very well done. It's a hour long, but I think once you start watching it, you'll want to watch the whole show. It ties together lots of aspects of the public search for the Self. Werner Erhard of EST seems to be the most nondual, declaring that the human being is nothing and that out of that realization or glimpse, one acts freely, or more freely. (I realize it's dangerous to talk in relative terms about self-realization.)
Good to see Werner Erhard speaking and to watch people undergoing all the developmental processes that were so popular in their day. Of course we're much more sophisticated nowadays.
Gotta run, my Nondual Mind course is starting.
