      Let him say
      whatever he wants
      against me.

      Let whoever come
      and say whatever.

      Or let them worship me,
      bringing their souls
      here like flowers .

I'm not part of any of that.
      So where's the exchange?

                SAFFRON

Even the thin tube of Spanish saffron
Sitting on the spice rack above the butcher block
Cooking table seems to glow with its worth
Of at least one's weight in gold & today
At the beach a dozen Buddhist monks in golden
Robes stepped out of three limousines
To walk their Holy One out along the dunes

To the water's flayed edge where the sand burned
With a light one could only call in its reddish
Mustard radiance the essence of saffron
& what I remember most of the scene as
The Holy One knelt down to touch those waves
Was his sudden laughter & his joy & that
Billowing burnt lemon light opening across the sky

The magic of this world is free

"When you express gentleness and precision in your
environment, then real brilliance and power can descend
onto  that situation. If you try to manufacure that
presence out of your  own ego, it will never happen. You
cannot own the power and the  magic of this world. It is
always available, but it does not belong  to anyone."

      Nondual Awareness

“In Kham, there is a saying, ‘When you want to boil
water, you can blow on the flames or pump the bellows,
as long as the water boils.’ In the same way, if all the
different practices we do benefit our stream-of-being,
then that’s fine. If you can remain in nondual awareness
without meditating and without being distracted,
everything is fine. But if your nondual awareness is
merely imagined, or if you try to construct it in
meditation, it will remain merely a concept. If
awareness becomes carried away, then you are in
delusion. The key word here is undistracted
nonmeditation. When nondual awareness is totally free of
confusion and distraction, then your water has really
      boiled.”
