THE NONDUALITY & YOGA CONFERENCE 2012

      “Nonduality: The Ever Present Frontier”

      October 12-14, 2012

      Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

The Nonduality & Yoga Conference is locally inspired and sourced. It is not conducted under the auspices of any specific tradition, practice, or academic approach, yet it is welcoming to all.

The primary organizers are James Traverse and Jerry Katz. James is a well-known local Yoga teacher who has been serving up nondual versions of Yoga for over 25 years.

The main purpose of the Nonduality & Yoga Conference is to experientially inform you about what nonduality is and how it could be applied to the practice and teaching of Yoga.

Attendees will have ample opportunity to experience the nondual state. Yoga practitioners and teachers will learn by experience how they could incorporate the teaching of nonduality into their practice and classes.

If your primary interest is nonduality itself — if, for example, you are in the midst of an adventure in realizing your true self — there will be several presentations on nonduality, along with discussion opportunities and plenty of time for socialization with people of like mind.

Everyone will have a chance to express her- or himself during a World Cafe which will be held once each day.

The Nonduality & Yoga Conference is an opportunity to meet people of like mind, to hear about the teaching of nonduality from local and world renowned teachers and educators, and to stretch your understanding and experience of Yoga into consciousness of the nondual.

Encouragement: I would like to encourage people to start nonduality meetup groups and eventually conferences, retreats, or gatherings. Start your meetup group at http://meetup.com. I know there's a tendency to feel you have to have a well known teacher or sage present, or their videos, but it's not necessary. There are plenty of people right where you live who can contribute in surprising ways to such a group. But you won't hear that from any nonduality teacher. So take nonduality back! And please, leave the videos of teachers at home. Just talk with the people in your community and find out about each other. You'll see there are far more than fifty shades of nonduality.
