National Association of Women in Construction

Celebrating 55 Years of Enhancing the Success of Women in Construction!

We are an organization especially for women in the construction industry and our chapter encompasses the Greater New York and the Long Island area. The National Association of Women in Construction is a self-governing, non-profit, non-partisan and non-sectarian organization.

NAWIC was founded in 1955 and now consists of approximately 6,000 individual members in over 160 chapters throughout the United States. NAWIC has international affiliates in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom and Canada.

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) originally began as Women in Construction of Fort Worth, Texas. It was founded by 16 women working in the construction industry. Knowing that women represented only a small fraction of the construction industry, the founders organized NAWIC to create a support network.

NAWIC is dedicated to the education of our Nation’s future workforce, promoting women within the industry and helping each member reach her full potential. Visit https://www.nawic.org/nawic/NFSF.asp.

On a chapter level, NAWIC works on a one to one basis with members offering opportunities to enhance leadership, skills, make invaluable business contacts from the membership directory, network your companies marketing throughout the USA and attain professional growth.

Let NAWIC work for you!

We welcome all women who are in the construction industry to join us.
