      Purpose: Encourage Conservation Districts and Resource Conservation &
      Development Councils to participate in the Northwest Power Planning Council,
      "Columbia River Basin Fish & Wildlife Program.

      Why Your Should Attend:
      Learn about a funding opportunity to implement watershed plans, long range
      plans or area plans.
      The revised Columbia River Basin Fish & Wildlife Program seeks projects from
      all organizations that can help them implement this program.


      Place: The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center / Wasco County Historical Museum
      5000 Discovery Drive
      The Dalles, Oregon 97058

      Date & Time: March 21, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

      Please RSVP Wy’East RC&D, workshop organizers, your intentions to attend
      this workshop. Call 541-296-6178 ext. 3 or email tammy-tripp@...
      This will ensure adequate workshop materials will be available for all
      participants.

      Registration Fee: $10.00 (pay at the door)

      Agenda

      1. Overview of Columbia River Basin Fish & Wildlife Program. Give
      participants an overview of the program, who are the organizations involved
      and their roles. Presenter - Northwest Power Planning Council & Bonneville
      Power Administration

      2. Application process and timeline. An overview of the application
      process. Presenter - Northwest Power Planning Council & Bonneville Power
      Administration

      3. Sub-basin Plans & other plans. Understand the connection to Sub-basin
      Summary’s, Sub-basin Plans, Biological Opinions, All H link to funding.
      Presenters: Northwest Power Planning Council, National Marine Fisheries
      Service, Bonneville Power Administration)

      4. Review Bonneville Power Administration Request For Proposals. Cover each
      major section of the request for proposal. Special emphasis will be placed
      on the role of Independent Scientific Review Panel & Columbia Basin Fish &
      Wildlife Authority, monitoring and evaluation, adaptive management, making
      the connection to fish and wildlife identified in Sub-basin Summary and
      Biological Opinions. Presenters: Northwest Power Planning Council, Wasco
      Soil & Water Conservation District and Wy'East Resource Conservation &
      Development Area

      5. Discussion of proposal ideas from Conservation Districts & RC&D Councils.
