Group Description

Welcome to the NAMA Mushroom Cultivation Group.

This discussion group is for use by North American Mycological Society (NAMA) members and members of affiliated mycological societies. The purpose is to serve as a forum for mushroom cultivators or those who have an interest in mushroom cultivation. It is also intended as a vehicle for posting articles, for asking questions, and sharing helpful hints, new techniques or any other information that would be useful for mushroom cultivators. NAMA cultivation information has recently been updated and expanded. Please visit the NAMA cultivation pages at:

http://www.namyco.org/cultivation/links.html

We hope you will join this group. Let us know what mushrooms you are cultivating, your level of cultivation experience, and what information you would like to see on this site.

NAMA, The North American Mycological Association, is a non-profit organization of professional and amateur mycologists with over 75 affiliated mycological societies in the United States, Canada and Mexico. NAMA is committed to the promotion of scientific and educational activities related to fungi. NAMA supports the protection of natural areas and their biological integrity. We advocate the sustainable use of mushrooms as a resource and endorse responsible mushroom collecting that does not harm the fungi or their habitats.

If you are not a NAMA member, I hope you will consider joining and support the important contributions of NAMA to the science of mycology. Please visit the NAMA website at:
