      VHFers,

I would like to see the reverse beam heading continue to be displayed.

This is quite useful when moving someone to another band where the antennas
get more directional, since you can immediately tell the other station which
heading he needs to turn his antenna to point at you.

      Carel,

When the grid square is not known (not in Call History or call history
turned off), NO beam heading is displayed in the Entry Window. I don't like
      that.

Instead of displaying no beam heading or "Callsign not found in database",
the code will display the beam heading to the country or call area. If the
grid square is populated from Call History, the code will display the
bearing based on the grid square calculation, no functional change.

I also corrected the bearing display line which always displayed the LOC1 &
LOC2 strings even when the actual exchange was different than both.

Should I remove the reverse bearing in the VHF bearing display line? Really
not needed for VHF, I know folks that have used the wrong heading value.

      Hi John,

Can this option "display standard beam heading" for VHF/UHF contesting
(VHFREG1 contests) when grid square not found user selectable ? i.e. opt for
NOT displaying it ? As for bands above 144MHz beam headings are so
small/narrow that providing some "standard" beam heading is meaningless. It
will only provide the operators some false information and distract from the
      contest.

I find the present situation pretty good..

      Thanks!

      Carel.

      Craig,

You can use the Tab key to enter the RST box. The RST fields are type String
so you should be able to log 59A on any mode.

I added code to display the standard beam heading line if the grid square
isn't known. It will be released in a future release.

I use N1MM for both VHF DXing and contesting...

It is terrific getting beam headings for domestic stations that have
grids... However, I miss the beam heading for a dx station that is usually
in the logging window for any other contest....which appears if you have a
grid. I know it is in the INFO box but not the usual logging window spot.
Maybe this is a minor tweak?

Another question...I know we usually enter 59 and 599...however, what about
59A? Is there a place to change the default for these AU moments?

I just looked through the Wiki and searched modes...can't find the answer. I
try to enter FSK441 or JT65B as the mode, and it won't accept the mode. Any
      suggestions?

      Thanks for your help
