New 10 Meter RTTY contest this weekend - sample macro file and special instructions
- December 4th marks the inaugural run of a new 10 Meter RTTY contest, and the recent band conditions on 10 could make this a very active event. This is a one day (24 hour), medium power (100 watts max) contest with a simple exchange (RST +state/province or +serial number for DX stations) and a simple set of rules. Due to its similarity to the ARRL RTTY Roundup contest, N1MM Logger users are advised to use ARRLRTTY as the contest name and may want to download the companion ARRLRTTY.mc macro file.
The new contest is listed on the website’s >Documents >Digging Deeper >Supported Contest >RTTY contests page, with a link to the contest sponsor’s website:
Refer to the Contest Setup Instructions which can be found on the website in >Documents >Digging Deeper >Contest Setup and Configuration >Contest Setup Instructions >Digital Contests
or click here:
The Sample Macros files for digital contests are on the website under >Files >Sample Macro Files >Digital.
or click here:
Download the macro definitions file, ARRLRTTY.mc, to your local N1MM directory. Select that file within N1MM: >File >Open Log in database >Associated Files >Digital Function Key Filename. This macro file is fine-tuned for ESM operation, which you may want to change to suit your own preferences.
Hope to work you this weekend!
