In addition, the DistriGas' LNG facility and the tankers which deliver the LNG to Everett are the topic of a meeting scheduled by the Charlestown Neighborhood Council (CNC) for Thursday, Febraury 26th at 7:00PM at the Knights of Columbus.  This is the first of a series of meetings to help us understand what happens at the facility, how deliveries are handled and what are the safety measures in place to safe guard us and the LNG activites.  DistriGas, and City, State and Federal agencies, including Homeland Security, involved in working with and regulating the LNG facility, will be present. In addition, the CNC has asked Professor Fay of MIT to attend the meeting, and they have a preliminary acceptance from the Professor, who is an independent expert on LNG matters.

These are very important topics for the future of Charlestown, so please join us!

      Thank you,
