Re: TLSO Back Brace Questions.
- Thank you for sharing your experience with your son's back brace.
I will asking what clothing they recommend when we go to get the mold taken Monday.

Our doctor chose this approach because there is research to suggest that wearing a night time brace is as effective as 23 hour bracing for idopathic scholiosis.
> One thing you might try for comfort and care is wearing wicking t-shirts underneath the brace. Our orthotist ordered a few for us when Adam 1st got his brace. The ones she ordered were extremely expensive but we have used them for 2 years and our insurance company paid for 80% of them. They have no seams and fit very snug, to avoid any skin rubbing.

> As far as cleaning, Adam rarely sweats and I have never actually cleaned his brace so maybe someone else has good tips on that.

We had an ortho appointment on Tuesday and his back has curved from 26 degrees in Feb, 31 in May, and is now 41 degrees. Our Dr. wants him to start out wearing a brace 24 hours a day but I think he's going to have a hard time with that.
