Yeah, I didn't get the purple after rinsing, though. I think I've found others in the past as tan as the ones I just found that didn't contain any purple, yet

Put some of it in a dryer, and then send it to Alan Rockefeller, he can run the DNA and tell us whether it is a blewit or something else.

Sounds like an opportunity to get some DNA testing done.  Maybe one of the experts on this list can arrange that?  Do you have a specimen?  Can you get one?

See Clitocybe brunneocephala in Arora, it is very similar to a blewit, including similar spore color, but is never purple.  I have seen it a few times in the

Oh, it is in the literature about a faint bitterness, so that shouldn't be a problem. Maybe one needs to focus on it to detect it, or the sweetness masks it
