Glad to know I’M not the only one ;^) I see you’re a “future” unschooler… I have two daughters in college, and an 8 ½ y.o. daughter and 6 y.o. son

Glad to know I’M not the only one  ;^)

        I see you’re a “future” unschooler…

I have two daughters in college, and an 8 ½ y.o. daughter and 6 y.o. son at home, so not only have I been at this unschooling thing a while, but I have “proof” that it works.  My eldest (now 22) started school for the first time at 14; my 2d daughter just turned 18 and graduated from high school with 2 years of college.  Apparently the complete lack of structure to their early education didn’t hurt ‘em none.

I’ve been around our homeschooling group so long that I get more open-minded questions (about libertarianism, homeschooling…) than I do weird looks.

I look forward to hearing about how things are going in NH – how large of a libertarian community is established there?

        -Lori

400 libertarians had already moved to NH as part of the Free State
Project. Of course, those people are in addition to libertarians who
already lived in NH. And many, many more are planning to move there
over the next couple years. I don't know how much you know about the
FSP, but you can get lots of info from www.freestateproject.com . And
Jean can probably tell you more than I can about what people there are
up to. I know they've been working on the homeschooling laws, fighting
the Real ID thing, and there have been many demonstrations. There's a
great bunch of activists up there...

I used to keep up on the Free Nation Foundation, but haven’t followed the free state project very closely.  Sounds cool to have that many like minded people living in one area – must make for some fun demonstrations!!   I don’t really have much of a libertarian presence near me – Seattle’s a ways, but Portland (Oregon) is near enough, and there is lots of cool stuff going on there; not necessarily “libertarian” as such, but  cool stuff  ;^)

Thanks for the link – I’ll check out the site.
