Group Description

Monroe Middle School COMMUNITY
San Jose, California

* The purpose of this Group is to assist in effective communication between Community Members. Primarily, it will be used to let the Monroe community know about upcoming school events and fund-raisers, to know when help is needed and how to help.

Some of the school-wide things we parents help with are mailings that go out before the school year begins, orientation day, lunchtime "Parents on Campus", providing monthly snacks for Monroe staff meetings, assisting the Monroe Health Clerk with health screenings, helping with the Monroe Community Dinner, chaperoning the 8th Grade Dance, new fund-raising plans, requesting grants from companies and foundations, and volunteering for a variety of PTA positions. It is a great way to get to know your child's school, and to build friendships.
