Layout Of The Month, July 2006
- The image for July 2006 is from Steve Flanigan's Louisville & Wadley
Railroad in West Hills, which is in the San Fernando Valley. The
image Steve submitted shows a Louisville & Wadley Southern Railroad
mixed train meeting a Central of Georgia Railway freight at the depot
in Wadley, Georgia, in the summer of 1957.
The F3 is an Intermountain model, while the Baldwin 2-8-0 is an
ancient PFM model. Steve's layout, based on the real Louisville &
Wadley RR in central Georgia, occupies a 10' x 10' train room and
reflects the State of Georgia. His previous layout, the Georgia
Southern Railroad, was featured in the April 2001 issue of Model
- Also took a look at Steve's layout in the Photos - WOW! Definetly love
to see the layout on a future tour. Attention to detai is outstanding.
