As mentioned in a recent post, the on-line Internet Archive
( http://www.archive.org/index.php ) has older publications that you
may read as flip books or download either as a scanned documents or
PDF files. The PDF versions take a while to download but are the
easiest to read and to copy from.

Here is a book link that may be of interest to some of you:

Freight Terminals and Trains: Including a Revision of Yards and
Terminals (1912) by John Albert Droege.

There are a lot of good drawings and images in this book which may
give you ideas for your layouts.

There are more railroad books (and film clips) on the Internet
      Archive site.
