      Subject: [Mito] Book Recommendation
I picked up a book to reread that I bought a year or two ago that was
recommended in this group and am, like the last time, totally engrossed in.
Asenath wanted me to stay with her in my bedroom all day and so I tried to
busy myself as much as possible near her until she would once again drift
off to sleep...  Anyway, the book "Joy in a Foreign Land" (can be purchased
and read about at www.joyinaforeignland.com) is filled with so much.  It is
filled with sorrow, joy, and a complete understanding of what we as parents
of children with disabilities and illnesses deal with.  I have read this
book twice before and each time it takes me through so many emotions.  I
have found it helps me deal with my own emotions as well as encouraging me
to keep pressing on.  This is a real life story of a couple who desire to be
in missions while dealing with not one, but two children with a genetic
(possibly metabolic) condition and about how they dealt with the daily
trials and losses of not only life, but also dealing with the loss of being
a parent to a healthy child.  Some parts are hard to read, but other parts
lift my soul and help me process and understand what it means to be a parent
to our precious children.  I hope some of you are able to check the book out
      and possible buy it.
