Very interesting. It seems strange that they would finally cave and issue sets, only to offer it only as part of their movie club? Thus artificially

If I can find out any more about this, I'll let you know.

If anyone wants to join DMC in the meantime, I would be very appreciative if you used this link from SDS: http://bit.ly/dmQL8g

"THIS WOULD BE SO COOL IF..." Well, it IS so cool but would be even cooler if confirmed (as, ya know, fact), which I hope someone (Greg... or otherwise) could do for us A S A P.

O' course, not sure how to feel bout having to join DMC to partake of THIS kinda good fortune (meant to say SSSOOO GOOD... sorry)... but hey, would be SSSOOO worth it just to have actual officially licensed boxed sets to add to the "Collection" (though I have EVERY ep on vid tape at this point, would be SSSOOO AWESOME to have on dvd as well... w/o having to resort to buying any # o' unofficial {& illegal, btw} "Bootleg KP boxed sets" that still rear their "Ugly heads" at times on certain online shop sites), to say nothing of what it would mean to all of us who've fought SSSOOO hard for SSSOOO long to preserve Kimmie's Legacy (more to the point, SAVE KIMMIE'S WORLD).

But I digress... let's get some confirmation before we (or maybe just "I") go all "M. Ed guitar solo AAAHHH YEAH" or "Shego YESSS... SSSWEET!" over it. There'll be a time for that... for now KEEP HOPIN' & (above all) KEEP FIGHTIN' A A BOOYAH!!!

I'd make it conditional on three things:

              1) The DVDs would need to be as close to broadcast-quality as a domestic DVD can be. I'd prefer they remaster onto HDTV, but realistically we'd be lucky not to get a low-quality transfer. I am not buying any more DVDs from Disney until I'm convinced the quality is there.

Yes, better images and quality sound mean more disks, but paying more for something watchable is better than paying less for disks you can't bear to watch. The latter is false economy. The real cost is the difference between the value of what you give and the value of what you get.

              2) If they charge premium for it being a boxed set, they'd best have better extras than were on the KP releases so far. I want something that makes me feel like I'm getting something in return for subsidizing the boardroom drinks cabinet.

              3) If they're only offering it via Disney Club, they'd best be willing to work with KP appreciation societies. Fans won't be willing to pay what amounts to a KP Tax, at least in general.

Doing the math, it looks like it'll cost me about $30 to join and pick out six "introductory movies" before I can even spend another $55 or so to actually get the KP sets. So it will be a while before I myself can confirm anything, I'm afraid.

However, bgwillia from RS.net did buy both sets and he's already received them! With his permission, I've posted his pictures of the sets on the main page of savekp.com along with everything I know so far about the sets.

I think it's very important for as many KP fans as possible to get these sets to show Disney that there's still interest in this show (and so they hopefully release seasons three and four too). Please help spread the word to your fellow KP fans, especially those that still love the show but have left our movement/group. You can refer them to savekp.com or here's a custom short link to my post you can use on facebook/twitter/etc. sds.me/kp-dvds

(I wouldn't mind so much if most of the money went to the cast and crew, but we know that it's unlikely that they'd get a fiver between the lot of them per box sold.)

Also, I'm reluctant to get anything recommended by RS.Net. I have a great many serious grudges against those "running" the board these days (including hacking other forums that are for KP fans). It's a tough call - I love KP but I despise the involvement of petty criminals in circulating the news.

Personally I have no intention of buying the sets like that, even if I did have the money. It s a blatantly obvious attempt to take advantage of Kim s fans. I

So weather it's 85$ or 150$ it is alot for KP dvd sets. I am so conflicted with happiness and anger ;x

I spoke with Bob Schooley about this, and he agrees that if DMC gets a significant number of new members because of the KP sets, it would greatly help our efforts to get the rest of the series released.

Everyone needs to make up their minds for themselves, but I really think that it's important that as many fans as possible join and get these sets! Again, all the details are posed on http://savekp.com/

On the one hand, I'm with you Robert... Honestly, I would much rather wait for a "General" release than "Jump through the hoops" required to achieve this LONG-TIME goal (i.e. the Boxed Sets) which MANY in this "KIMunity" have sought (& fought for) so vehemently.

On the other hand, it's because of the aforementioned LONG-TIME goal (& ALL aforementioned with) that I'm SERIOUSLY considering "Placing my bet" on  Greg's "Side o' the coin" ... translation: I think I'm gonna go ahead & join DMC a.s.a.p., simply because it's one (of a number of) VERY IMPORTANT "Victories" we've all been waiting SSSOOO LONG & working SSSOOO HARD to attain & it's been a VEEERRRY LONG TIME (factoring in how long we'd fought just to get the Fourth Season... & how long it's been since THAT "Victory" to the present day) in coming (CAN I GET A "BOOYAH"?!!!).

In any case (& as always)...

Also it's a small price in reference to the movement but still a high price for those not involved and why would others not from this group jump threw hoops for KP?? Does anyone outside of here still remember Kim? I mean how many are active here? And realistically how many dvd's of KP will be sold because of this? 15 sets? 20 sets? Is that worth it Disney?? Of course like as is with all Disney non-wanting to promote cause they really didn't want it, it's gonna fail so yea if want them go ahead and act soon.
