      July 27, 2012

      A move crew employee died this morning at approximately 4 a.m. from crushing injuries he received at Coal River Mining LLC Fork Creek No. 10 Mine.

      Leslie Fitzwater, public information specialist with the state Department of Commerce, said the man was 35 years old, and had one year and 14 weeks' experience, all at this mine in Boone County.

      Fitzwater said his death is the third reported mining fatality for West Virginia this year.
