Also, a fellow photo taker shared a great idea about using flour to enhance the lettering on markers that are hard to read. This works best on polished markers, but I have had some success with the softer markers. This process is non abrasive to any marker and brings the lettering to life almost before your eyes. I bought a small cheese shaker and a small bag of regular baking flour. I fill the shaker and shake some over the letters. I use a paper towel or clean dry cloth and rub the flour into the letters. If there is excess, just brush it away. Also, plain water sometimes allows you to read the letters. Enjoy the info in these websites. Remember to ask permission to repair any marker.
